BuyerCurious.com℠ Launches in Minnesota

First Online Residential Real Estate Marketplace Where Buyers & Sellers Can Negotiate Directly
MINNEAPOLIS--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--BuyerCurious.com today announced the official launch of its online residential real estate negotiation platform. BuyerCurious.com is a new way for home buyers and sellers to negotiate offers, directly or with the help of others. It is the first online real estate marketplace that enables buyers and sellers to anonymously connect on the purchase and sale of any home, saving time and money.
“We believe there is a tremendous opportunity for a service that encourages buyers and sellers to get off the sidelines and back into the real estate game,” said Jim Lesinski, founder and CEO of BuyerCurious.com. “Our goal is to reinvent the home buying and selling experience by making negotiations simple, fun and worthwhile for all parties involved.”
Through BuyerCurious.com, any potential home buyer can make an offer on any home in the United States, at any time. Homes do not need to be registered on BuyerCurious.com, and they do not have to be currently for sale to receive offers. The service is currently available in Connecticut, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico and Wisconsin, with plans for further expansions in the coming months. Potential buyers remain completely anonymous throughout the negotiation, as do sellers and any involved agents. Contact information is only shared if and when an agreement in principle is reached. At any point in the BuyerCurious.com process, customers can involve friends, family, and other trusted advisors in developing terms.
Dr. Thomas Hamilton, professor of real estate at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas, believes that BuyerCurious.com could help bring down the costs of buying and selling homes. “BuyerCurious.com is designed to improve the efficiency of real estate transactions, and when you introduce efficiency, the price of the transaction decreases,” said Dr. Hamilton.
Once the parties reach an agreement on key terms, they gain access to their own private online Deal Room. For no extra charge, this virtual workspace is a place where buyers, sellers and agents can work together to assemble important legal documents necessary to effect the creation of a binding purchase agreement.
Potential buyers pay a flat fee of $59.99 to make an offer. Home sellers do not pay to view an offer, or to make counter-offers. Both parties pay a total of $300 each if a final agreement in principle is reached.
