8 Class Reunion Ideas You Must See

By Charles Jackson

Holding a class reunion party has never been so easy thanks to the emergence of online social networking websites such as Myspace and Facebook.

However, statistics have shown that the average attendance at a class reunion party is only 10 - 25%. This is probably due to nervousness and anxiety about facing former classmates and foes.

If you follow these class reunion ideas, you will stand a better chance of having a high attendance record and you will also throw a party that your guests will always remember:

1. Throwing a class reunion party can create a lot of stress for anybody. So why not recruit a former class mate or two to share the responsibilities?

2. Remember that many of your former classmates will be travelling great distances to attend your event. They will have careers and families to factor in! Make sure you allow as much notice as possible, even up to a year and beyond!

3. Rather than send out invites, I strongly suggest that you dedicate a website to your class reunion party. At the very least you should have a Facebook page. This way your guests will be able to see who else is attending!

4. Your website should have a form on so you can find out information like:

a. Are they vegetarian? Your guests will be eating after all!

b. Is accommodation required? If so then you could negotiate a group discount if enough people are in need of it!

C. Extras? Would your guests like to order souvenirs? This will need factoring into the budget!

d. Photos! Get your classmates to upload a school photo!

e. Payment - Have a link to Paypal so that they can pay in advance for the event.

5. Hire a professional photographer for the event. If enough people have sent in a school day photo via the website then you can have both an early and present day photo one after the other on the dvd!

6. To be very nostalgic, play music from the year of your graduation!

7. Provide name tags for everyone to avoid the inevitable embarrassments!

8. The food you provide should be top notch. Remember this is an extremely special occasion that has been a long time in the making.
