Opera Glasses: A comedic Review of Shear Madness

By Jeff Bridges

If you are planning on seeing the comedy play Shear Madness make sure you bring your Opera Glasses. In reviewing this wonderful performance I must first make sure that you are prepared for aching cheeks, and stomach muscles that will be sore for a week. I loved Shear Madness, Never have I laughed so hard in my life!

The stage is set to take place at a unisex hair salon. The usual gossip takes place. As in real life, for some reason, people seem to think they need to share their utmost secrets with their hairdresser. So many funny lines take place as well as an intriguing storyline. The people acting are extremely believable characters. You have the snapping gum pretty hairdresser with a gorgeous figure who is an airhead, the brightly colored clothing character played by the homosexual hairdresser (fabulously played by John McGivern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when I attended), a high class society woman, policemen and the different clientele that comes in. Of course, one man is a hunk which makes John McGivern's character giggle with glee.

Shear Madness is truly an evolutionary play; this is because it is always changing! What I mean by this, is that many of the words that are spoken in the play are not actually in the script but rather are given as improvisations by gifted comedians, in fact, much of the things talked about in the play focuses on current local and world news, you will never know what to expect. One of the things I found most amusing about this performance, is that many times, actors are caught off guard by the other actor's improvised lines, and you see them trying to contain their own laughter. For this you will surely want to bring your opera glasses as not to miss a beat!

Shear Madness is very much an interactive play. As you attend, you will find that performers will periodically ask the audience for their opinions about the developing story. Many in attendance will shout out their answers which often vary wildly. This aspect alone will make this play unforgettable in your mind. If find that your seat is in the first few rows, be prepared, as you may find yourself as centerpiece of a joke. Remember, that all jokes are just in good fun.

Aside from the typical chit chat you find in a beauty parlor, Shear Madness' plot turns to a murder mystery. The person who is killed is always the same; it is the owner of the parlor. The owner lived above the parlor prior to being murdered, and you will see that any of the characters potentially could have been the murderer. You will be working and trying to figure out who the murderer is; your opera glasses will help you to not miss any subtle hints.

There is one last twist me must tell you about this improvised performance, although the owner of the beauty salon is always the one who gets murdered at the beginning, the person who actually did the killing is different every time! As the plot develops the actors ask members of the audience for their opinions, and toward the end, a vote takes place in which the murderer is chosen. This development is always very comical, and you will love to hear the different reasons the killers give to justify their actions. There is one catch though, if you want to see why each murderer kills the owner, you will have to see it multiple times, as there is only one murderer in each showing!

Shear Madness is one of the longest running plays that are not musical. Popular critics such as the New York Times, Newsweek, Chicago Sun-Times, The Wall Street Journal and more have given Shear Madness rave reviews.

You will want to bring your Opera glasses as you will not want to miss one entertaining moment of Shear Madness. Opera glasses will ensure that you will capture each and every laugh.

What is Poker 'Leaks'?

By Corie Aquino

All individuals make mistakes; we always make a certain mistake in our lives that we are going to regret in the end. The good thing about committing mistakes is that you learn from the experience and try not to commit the same mistake again.

But some people are hard headed not to learn from their mistakes: they still commit the same mistakes over and over again, no matter what kind of promises they make not to do the same errors again.

That kind of people is rampant at the poker table. Their mistakes often go unnoticed in the public eye. They called these mistakes as leaks because they are small ones but they have tremendous after effects if not corrected. But if you are committing big errors instead of small ones then it's not leak anymore but a hole. And if you have tremendous holes in your game then it's time for you to learn the basics again, because this article will focus on leaks not holes.

Leaks in poker are categorized in three fields: *Frequent small mistakes *Infrequent small mistakes *Non-Strategic mistakes

Frequent mistakes occur when the decision will come up quite often. A frequent small mistake in poker could comprise any actions including playing a lot of suited hands pre-flop or betting continuously even if the bet can't help in making the other players fold.

If a small mistake is committed infrequently then it is harder to see. It would be more like playing one or two particular hands instead of playing many suited hands or missing value bets on the river instead of betting on cards with no chance of winning.

Leaks that are non-strategic include parts of the game that happens before the cards are dealt. This may comprise of being drunk or tired before the game started. Quickly seating on a seat that is available without checking if that's a strategic place or not is also a mistake; and not checking out about your playmates is also a costly error.

Errors that are non-strategic are easy to cure. You just need to know your limits and must be aware if you are ready to play or not. If you are not ready emotionally and physically then don't play. If you can't wait and stop in order to look for a suitable seating arrangement or select a good table then don't play.

The best thing you can do is to tell yourself that you are going to spend enough time to check out the best tables and seats in the game. Then spend some time to get to know your opponents. Don't play if you're hung over and had a lot to drink. Always be ready physically and mentally before you started playing.

Strategic mistakes are difficult to know and difficult to cure: more than ever if they rarely occur. However, a very good observer can see any errors in the game if they know how to evaluate their own game play.

For mistakes that are committed infrequently - it takes other player to show someone their mistakes to be aware of it. That can be help by doing some friendly play with your buddies in poker or participating in poker discussions. So if someone notices that there are leaks in your game don't be offended instantly, evaluate yourself and make your game better than before.

Errors are not a luxury you should always make. But if you know how to cope out from those mistakes then you can save a lot in the process. In order for you to erase the leaks in your game, you need to know that they exist first. However, some people are stubborn enough not to acknowledge their own mistakes until it's too late.

Dance History Of The Milonga

By Melanie LaPatin

Poor people are not always unhappy. Often, those in the poorest circumstances find joy in the simplest pleasures. Such is certainly the case with the Milonga. In the 1880, in the poorer sections of Buenos Aires, the lower classes celebrated their lives in dance. The Milonga has been called the Happy Face of Tango, because of its light-hearted spirit and quick tempo. Although originally frowned upon as disreputable, as nearly all dances were when first introduced throughout history, the Milonga became socially acceptable by the year 1915.

The Milonga has since become so synonymous with dance that the word is more commonly understood today to mean a party where couples dance the Tango or Waltz. People go to a Milonga to dance the Milonga (or a number of other dances). Songs are played in tandas, or what we in America would call a medley. The orchestra plays a series of three or four songs in a row before the cortina signals the end of the dance. If you agree to dance at the beginning of a tanda, you are generally obligated to remain until the cortina, so choose your partners wisely and dont start if you cant finish.

The Milonga began in Argentina as a folk song that was popular in the countryside outside Buenos Aires. The Payadores were travelling minstrels who made up songs about life and the news of the day. As a minstrel form of song, the words were the focus, supported by the rhythm and cords of the music. Although such music might not seem a likely inspiration for dance, this was one of the most popular forms of music in Buenos Aires at the time. People would travel to a Milonga to hear the Payadores sing and play music. It was more this festive setting that gave rise to the Milonga as a dance, and explains why both the dance and the gathering have such an intertwined meaning. Of course, such a gathering was a great place to meet a member of the opposite sex, and with no Superbowl or World Series to watch on television and no Internet chat rooms to find dates, those who could not afford higher forms of entertainment were not about to let such an opportunity go to waste. The Milonga was the joyful celebration of life and opportunity.

Of course, the Milonga continued to develop, as all dances do, and in 1932, the Milonga was further defined. Composer Sebastian Piana had teamed up with lyricist Homero Manzi to write many popular Tangos. Manzi decided he wanted to write the definite lyrics for the Milonga " one that would do it justice. Piana was uninterested in the idea. Since the Milonga was an established musical form, so there seemed nothing he could contribute to the project. Given their history of writing together, however, Piana agreed that Manzi could write the lyrics, but only if he would be allowed to improvise and add his own touch to the music. The result was the Milonga Sentimental, and it was a big hit with the Argentines. As one might expect, the team happily cranked out more versions, experimenting with their new musical art form. By the end of the 1930s , Pianas music had supplanted the words as the focus and for the first time, the Milonga was played solely as an instrumental.

Of course, the Milonga was not long contained to the poorer sections of town. As the upper classes discovered and enjoyed it, the dance spread in popularity around the world. Now everyone of all classes can celebrate!

Creative Food Photography

By Julie Wong

Taking food photos is an artform. It takes a lot of experience to get it right. Non-the-less here are some simple tips to help.

Let there be light

The first important technique food photographers should learn is about lighting. When photographing food you should treat it as you would any other kind of subject and make sure it is lit correctly. Many pictures can be improved by using adequate lighting. Natural light is the best light source to use, so by a window is an ideal location. Natural light cuts out the shadows, and gives the food a more natural look which all food photographers want.

Use of props

With food photography props often save the day. The reason restaurants use big and fancy plates to serve food on is because we eat first with our eyes! Choosing the right props for a food shot is imperative. Get it right - masterpiece. Get it wrong - roll up your sleeves and start again.

If you do a lot of food photography then shopping at second hand markets can be a great way to build your box of props. You can pick up expensive items like large pots and dishes and vases for a few dollars and a smile. If you do not do much then you may have to go shopping for what you need and bill the client!

Be Quick

If you are a slow-coach perfectionist then food photography may be hard for your to master. Like master chefs that throw masterpieces dishes together in minutes master food photographers capture the essence in minutes too. Be quick else it will be a mess is the thing to remember with food photography. As soon as food warms or cools it droops, melts, discolours and a whole range of other things. Be ready with all the lighting and use placeholder items such as places to get the lighting right. Once the food is there you should be shooting.

Simple way to enhance your photos

An excellent food photographer will want to learn this last but not least creative technique when it comes to taking photographs of food. And that is to use a small amount of vegetable oil that you have on hand and brush it on the food. This will make your dish glisten and stand out deliciously in your pictures.

Work with the chef

The last area to cover is working with you food professional. If you are unlucky you will have to do the presentation of the food yourself. If you are lucky and the client has a good budget you will have a chef to do the food display.

Take a few minutes before the shoot to talk with the chef and ask them how they like to work. Ask them if there is anything you need to know about the food that may not be obvious. If nothing else this will make them feel good so you will then be able to work closer and better together.

Inside Look At Talent Agencies " Emerald City Model And Talent

By John Harb

Emerald City Model and Talent in Edmonds, Washington commented, a talent agent finds positions for actors, authors, film directors, models, musicians and producers. Models will be interested in modeling where as actors will be interested in working on stage, in films, television and commercials.

Do people ever tell you that you look like an actor? If not do you wish that they would? Do you think you've got some talent, or at least a great look? Do you have self-esteem coming out every imaginable orifice? If endless rejection, years of waiting tables, and the chance at absurdly high pay for work that requires absolutely no education sounds good to you, then by golly it's time you got an agent.

Why do you need an agent? Agents are the go between to the people who hire you for acting or modeling through casting directors and producers. Because the agent helps you find work they will take a percentage of your pay.

Emerald City Model and Talent continues to say, There are different types of agents for different types of talent. The main types are theatrical (TV and film), modeling and commercial (for commercials only). There are also dance, print (photos only), voice-over (voice only for TV, film, radio), and legitimate (theater) agents. Your agent may represent you for one or more of these categories.

The fax service called the breakdowns, casting directors and producers are a few of the ways an agent can get information about jobs available. Only agents and manager can use the breakdowns.

For one role, hundreds or thousands of resumes and head shots can come into a casting director. Because so many actors or models want a job the agent must eliminate those who are not eligible for the job.

Having an 8 x 10 photos and resume is very important to your career as a model and actor. Another good idea is to make a demo reel of your work but if you are new do not worry about this. The photo and resume have certain professional guidelines.

The first step in getting great photos. People need to know what they're getting when they call you in to audition. So, if you are not a model-type, please do not get glamorous head shots. But if you are gorgeous, let the viewer know.

Getting A Lower Back Tribal Tattoo

By Cindy Claire

Getting a tattoo is a very good way to show off your personality without words. You can place your tattoos on any part of your body, but if you are considering having a tribal tattoo then the best place to put is your lower back. In fact, this is already a favorite choice by many young girls.

There are a number of reasons behind the popularity of lower back tribal tattoos amongst the young female generations. Some of the reasons are:

* Tribal tattoos in the lower back can be covered up easily. There are certain occasions when showing off your tribal tattoo is not necessary and is deemed to be inappropriate. In this regard, having a tribal tattoo in your lower back is not a problem because you can easily hide it by simply choosing the right dress, shirt, or pants to wear for the occasion.

* A tattoo on your lower back will help draw attention to your back area, and this what is intended by the girls who would like to show off some sexiness. This is also an area that emphasizes the natural curve of the body.

* Compared to tattoo designs placed on other parts of the body, the tattoos put on the lower back tend to last longer. This is because the lower back part of the body does not change much in shape and size over the years.

Now, it is not difficult to understand why so many people like to get tribal tattoos on their lower backs. To actually get your own tattoos done, you will first need to decide on the designs. You may either visit a reputable tattoo parlor and pick one from there, or you can visit the online tattoo galleries. If you do some search, you will be able to find plenty of websites that supply you with a vast amount of choices.

What To Consider Before Going For Emo Hairstyles

By Toni Moretti

Just when we think, we have seen it all and heard it all when it comes to hair something new comes out. Then that is what keeps fashion so exciting. One of the latest fads to hit the market that allows an individual to be him or herself is the Emo hairstyles.

So what exactly is the Emo hairstyles.? To begin with it is most often done with black hair then splashes of color will be added throughout the hair much like highlights except the color may be more bold and certainly much brighter. You may want to consider perhaps pink or orange for example. That does not mean that it has to be black but the majority of the styles are with black hair.

To go even further with this hairstyle it is broken down into Emo for boys and Emo for girls. The best advice is that of hair stylists that specialize in this type of hair and they will tell you that the most important thing is to be unique.

One thing you really want to be sure of though is if you are going to go with a dynamic hairstyle that you are the type of individual that does not mind expressing their individuality. There is one thing about it you are certainly going to turn heads at least with the more conventional type people.

Do not think that an Emo hairstyle does not require any maintenance because it most certainly does. It takes a specific type of haircut to bring out the Emo hairstyles. This means that you must make sure that you get your maintenance haircut on a regular basis. If not you are going to lose the perfect overall look of your Emo hairstyle.

Therefore, if one wanted to classify or give a definition to Emo it would come down to people's individuality when it comes to hair fashion. If you were to walk into a hairstylist and tell her, you want an Emo hairstyle do not expect that you are going to get the same one that your friend has unless you specifically ask for that particular color and style.

It is interesting to note that the boys go as much for the Emo hairstyle as what the girls do. Again it comes down to it gives them a chance to make their own fashion statement. One has to admit that boys are quite often limited as to what they can do with their hair. Although in later years now more young men have gone for dyeing their hair as well as perms. . As we have mentioned a lot of the Emo hairstyles depend on the cuts. That does not mean that every Emo style has to be cut exactly the same way. There may be a variation in the bangs for example and for the block coloring as well as the length of the bangs that are chosen. One thing you want to be sure is that for the boys not to have the Emo fringe too long.

Obscure Sports Trivia Information

By Mitchell Boggs

Sports trivia has become the equivalent of everyday knowledge. If you ask a sports fan, he or she may know more than the common person, but everyone knows certain things about the sports world, like Lakers guard Ervin Johnson's nickname (Magic), George Herman Ruth's nickname, and many other small facts in the sports world.

Amazingly enough, there are many that would stump even the most knowledgeable fans. I'm going to share a few that will stun you, amuse you, and give you a few more cool things to share with your friends. I hope you enjoy them.

For example, Duke Farrell, a former professional catcher, once threw out 8 men trying to steal a base in one game. Might as well have credited him with the win, that's 8 outs he caused and 8 potential runs he saved.

In 1972, there was a regional boys' basketball tournament held in Sweden. The final score of the game? 274 to 0. And 272 of the points were scored by the same kid.

How about this one? Which sport do more people participate in than any other in the world? I bet you're thinking something like soccer, or basketball, or even running. It's not any of those. Who would have guessed that it's fishing?

A man by the name of Robert Wyler, from Glendale, CA, has played as many as 1,000 games of chess, all through the mail.

Every year in baseball, over 900,000 baseballs are used during the course of a season. Almost enough to pay one player's salary!

A golfer by the name of Art Wall, Jr. hit 37 holes in one through the span of his career. This is more than any other golfer can claim.

Shaquille O'Neal's shoe size is a 22. All of his sneakers are specially made for him and his huge feet.

Before baseball games in 1859, umpires used to literally sit behind home plate in a rocking chair. Sounds like a pretty relaxing job.

Satchel Paige, a former Negro League baseball player, pitched at 59 years old as a Major League baseball pitcher. Many say he was one of the greatest pitchers to ever play the game.

Scalp Diseases and Their Effect on Hair Styles

By Toni Moretti

Each one of us could go through unappealing hair and scalp problems, and some may be severe. Aside from all the pollution, chemicals, sun exposures, adding up to the dilemma are the hereditary factors that will definitely add much turmoil to the evidently troubled hair. Once this happens, it is almost impossible to achieve and maintain any type of hairstyle. While treating these conditions you must refrain from using any chemical hair products or treatments.

There are two of the most common scalp diseases, and these are psoriasis and seborrhea dermatitis.

Psoriasis The psoriasis of the scalp is a certain condition that will be the cause of redness, a lot of itching, some dry powdery flakes or even thick scales of the scalp. Scalp psoriasis is a chronic (which means a persistent and lasting disease) condition, with the possibility of not to be cured completely but still can be treated. The real cause of this disease is not thoroughly determined, but on the contrary, there is a suspicion that this is a disease that is to be hereditary by nature.

Like most of the other diseases, psoriasis is also triggered by stress, if you will try to relax and keep your mind at a peace state then that is good. Psoriasis has a very probable tendency of flaring up, most especially if being exposed to the sun, which in fact worsens the condition. If you have psoriasis, do not ever neglect your hair, you always have to protect it, and your scalp, against the sun?s harsh rays, try on a scarf or a cap. Drugs cannot cure the psoriasis, which is true; the only way of treating it is by using a topical treatment for this condition.

The Seborrhea dermatitis The seborrhea dermatitis is a condition that is more commonly known as a form of dandruff, and the symptoms are most definitely known to everybody. Dandruff will cause oily scales, redness, and many itching and rather greasy flakes on the scalp. Usually, seborrhea dermatitis is caused by the hormonal changes, or by fungal infections that occurs of the scalp?s skin. There is a slight difference between the seborrhea dermatitis and psoriasis, and that is by checking the flakes. You see, when infected with the psoriasis, the flakes are usually very dry and a lot more powdery, while when infected with seborrhea dermatitis the flakes appear oily.

None of these scalp diseases are contagious, so you need not worry too much if a friend, or a family member of yours have either of these conditions. If you are experiencing and suffering any of the above conditions, it is ultimately advised that you avoid any scratching and picking on these scales. Be very, very careful, and steer away from any hair dyes and above all any chemicals treatments such as coloring and perming to name a few. As much as possible do not abuse your hair and scalp, so that you can be able to avoid any more damage to yourself.

Xbox 360 - Four Tips For Avoiding The Red Ring Of Death

By Marc Sandford

The red ring of death happens when you see three flashing red lights on the console. Maybe you want to prevent the red ring of death from happening to your new xbox.

Perhaps the red ring of death has already happened to you and you don't want it to ever happen again. Whatever your situation may be, you can take a number of easy to follow steps that will prevent the red ring of death.

1.) Know where the cooling vents are and be sure to never block them. If air can't freely flow into these vents, your Xbox will overheat. Make sure there is plenty open space around these vents. Keep them clear of clutter and don't have them pushed up against the wall.

2.) Always keep your xbox clean of grit, dirt or dust. Dust can get suctioned into the cooling vents which will block them over time. The xbox's cooling system can't function properly with blocked vents. This blockage can also damage the cooling fans. Keep the vents clear by vacuuming out any dust or dirt.

3.) The power brick also needs to stay cool during operation. Therefore, it needs to have easy access to the surrounding air. This means you need to be careful not to place it on shaggy carpets that can block airflow. Place it on a hard table or on a hardwood floor.

4.) The xbox should be kept away from sources of heat. Keep the air conditioner running when you are using your xbox on a hot day.

Another point to remember is that the longer you run your Xbox, the hotter it will get. So it's a good idea to limit your gaming to no more than a couple of hours at a time.

The main point to remember in all of this is that the red ring of death happens when your xbox gets over heated. The xbox has a weak cooling system and tends to run hot. So ensuring that it runs cool is up to you.

Some Complete Feature Film Reviews

By Ruby Hutchinson

Movie reviews follow this paragraph. Here are some ways to find movie download sites. "Movie Downloading" or "Buy Movie Download" might get you a good result, if they don't, try "Download Films Online".

Sensations of 1945: Fame hungry Powell shows a press representative O'Keefe how to entice focus in this campy musical. One marvelous number has her tap dancing inside mammoth pinball game. Cast includes Eleanor Powell, Dennis O'Keefe, C. Aubrey Smith, Eugene Pallette, W. C. Territories, Cab Calloway, and Sophie Tucker. (86 minutes, 1945)

Rock My World: This is a pretty good comedy set in England (however shot and funded in Canada) that went directly to video in the U.S. although is far more involving than its theatrical destiny could show. We see an aristocratic British couple lease their mansion to a rock band and end up posing as the butler and chef while the misfit team ultimately shows up. Observing the interplay create between these extremely variant generations and lifestyles is fun and the music is surprisingly catchy. Cast includes Peter O'Toole, Joan Plowright, Alicia Silverstone, Jairnz Woolvett, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Christopher Bolton, and Lochlyn Munro. (106 minutes, 2002)

Cry Freedom: An empathetic film in dealing with the life of South African activist Steve Biko (well played by Washington) and his kinship with crusading newspaper editor Donald Woods (Kline). Regrettably second half of film, minus the Biko personality, loses itself as it invests too much time on Kline and his families flee from South Africa. Cast includes Kevin Kline, Penelope Wilton, Denzel Washington, Kevin McNally, John Defrost, Timothy West, Juanita Waterman, John Hargreaves, Alec McCowen, Zakes Mokae, and Ian Richardson. (157 minutes, 1987)

The Only Game in Town: Romance of chorus gal and a gambler takes place in Las Vegas, however was shot in Paris and it definitely hurts the film. There is little action and the inside scenes slow pace of this delightful adaptation of Frank D. Gilroy's play. Beatty is phenomenal. Cast includes Elizabeth Taylor, Warren Beatty, Charles Braswell, Hank Henry, and Olga Valery. (113 minutes, 1970)

The Lawyer: Energetic tale loosely based on the renowned Dr. Sam Sheppard murder case. Newman is a stubborn youthful barrister guarding physician implicated of killing his spouse, fighting lawful procedure and uncooperative judge. Cast includes Barry Newman, Harold Gould, Diana Muldaur, Robert Colbert, and Kathleen Crowley. (117 minutes, 1970)

Down Periscope: Maverick naval officer is ultimately given the submarine he requests however it turns out to be a mothballed ruin with a crew that's not much more superior. If he could demonstrate his mettle (and the vessels) in a battle game scenario, he might graduate to a first rate atomic sub. Gentle comedy follows the black sheep makegood recipe somewhat well. Cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Lauren Holly, Bruce Dem, Thieve Schneider, Rip Torn, Harry Dean Stanton, William H. Macy, Ken Hudson Campbell, Toby Huss, Duane Martin, and Harland Williams. (92 minutes, 1996)

The Believer: Brutal evaluation of a yeshiva informed youthful guy in N.Y.C. who opts to become a neo-Nazi skinhead. Gosling gives a steller performance as a Jew (loosely based on truth) whose rationale is controversial however whose desire is genuine. R. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Summer Phoenix, Billy Zane, Theresa Russell, Glenn Fitzgerald, Ronald Guttman, and Henry Bean. (98 minutes, 2002)

The Gorgeous Hussy: Megastars fill the cast in this fictionalized historical drama of Peggy O'Neal, President Andrew Jackson's secret lover. The cast is beautifully costumed in well assigned settings. The movie is based on the novel by Samuel Hopkins Joyce. Cast includes Joan Crawford, Robert Taylor, Lionel Barrymore, Franchot Tone, Melvyn Douglas, James Stewart, Alison Skipworth, Beulah Bondi, and Gene Lockhart. (102 minutes, 1936)

Foxes: Foxes is about 4 teenaged gals try dealing with the normal not in our town complications carried by growing up in San Fernando Valley. Adept cast and evidently genuine motives are sabotaged by rough storyline that just isn't gripping enough. Cast includes Jodie Foster, Cherie Currie, Marilyn Kagan, Kandice Stroh, Scott Baio, Sally Kellerman, Randy Quaid, and Lois Smith. (106 minutes, 1980)

Maybe you found a new movie to watch from this. list As we said before, search with "Buy Movie Downlaods", or "Buy And Download Movies Online" to find good information on downloading. If these don't work out, punch in "Internet DVD Rental", and see if that works.

10 Hot Tips for Shooting Great Digital Photos

By Lucas Godfrey

Often people will judge the camera by the picture it takes, failing to realize the camera operator plays a big part in this as well. Many novices feel that they just simply look and shoot. Any touch ups can be easily done with the photo editing software. While this is true, it still is not a great way to take photos. There are actually 10 simple basic steps that you can apply that will help you get a much better quality picture no matter what camera you are using.

Step #1. Do not be afraid to get close to your subject. All too often people stand back to take their shot instead of moving in. I think this is because they do not feel that they can get close up because it may blur the picture. If you cannot get close then use your zoom lens. Experiment with the macro mode as well. After a while, you will become comfortable with closer shots.

Step 2: Do not be afraid to use the white balance as well. All cameras come with a default setting and it is interesting to note that many people have not changed this since the camera came out of the box weeks ago. In fact try the cloudy position; you will be quite pleased with the overall look you get. What happens is it increases the red and yellow tones. These are classed as warm colors so it gives more warmth to your photos without distorting it.

Step #3: No one remains perfectly still when holding the camera. We all think we have a steady hand but there is always some slight movement. This is where the tripod comes in handy. It may seem like a nuisance to drag it with you everywhere you go, but once you compare the quality of your photos with and without the use of it you will want to keep using it.

Step #4: Your flash is an important part of your camera. Experiment with the fill flash or flash on mode when taking your outdoor portraits. Make the flash work when you want it to and not when the camera thinks it should. Do not be afraid to put your subject in shaded areas and use your flash to compensate for the lack of light.

Step #5: Let nature be your guide in the sense of using their horizontal likes such as the horizon or a section of land. This means you are holding the camera level.

Step #6 Try using some polarizing filters. This is ideal for outdoor shots and they reduce glare and reflections. The overall appearance of the colors is much more distinct.

Step #7. Many people will not use the self-timer feature simply because they do not know the best way to do so. Place the camera on a stable surface. Focus the sensor on an individual that is in the group picture and not on the background.

Step #8: Everyone would love to take a picture of a waterfall, but do not give themselves enough credit to be able to do so. First, use your tripod. Adjust the camera for greater field depth and slow the shutter down. The exposure should be at least one second longer. Then use the self-timer feature to take the shot.

Step #9: One of the biggest mistakes made by a novice photographer is not having a big enough media or memory card. It does not take long to fill a card and it is disappointing when you are halfway through your photography project and run out of memory.

Step #10 Use your camera to the max, in other words shoot at the maximum resolution. This is what gives you the quality of picture you need if you decide to have it enlarged.

Everything You Need To Know About Electric Boats

By Ferdinand Emy

When you can't in point of fact get out on the water in a full size boat, electric boats can be a great second choice. Radio electric boats are boats that are radio controlled using a receiver and a transmitter. In most cases, the control utilizes a type of stick that's hand controlled. The receiver will usually be mounted inside the boat and will receive and then procedure the signal from the transmitter that's held by the operator. The transmitter makes it feasible for the user to accelerate, slow down and rotate the electric boat. Additionally, the user can also utilize the transmitter so as to turn the boat left or right.

You may find electric boats in a diversity of distinct sizes. In most cases, electric boats are powered employing batteries. They may operate employing a moderately little battery or a large battery. The run time of electric boats will predictably depend upon the size of the boat and the battery, but most electric boats will operate anywhere from five to ten minutes. Electric boats will also usually operate from as regards 20 to 25 miles per hour. So as to enjoy more operational time with electric boats it is a good idea to keep a second battery charged that you may convert out quickly.

Compared to gas operated radio controlled boats, electric boats normally operate much quieter, but it should be placed in mind that these types of boats aren't as powerful and cannot obtain top end speeds.

Prior to you purchase an electric boat its a good idea to consult the bylaws in your local area to clarify where you'll be allowed to operate your boat. You surely don't wish to buy an electric boat only to find out that there is nowhere to operate your novel boat.

You should similarly think of whether you wish a ready to run electric boat or a boat kit that you can build yourself. While building an electric boat does present a good number of trials, its surely nothing that you cannot accomplish with some time and patience. Unquestionably, if you don't feel that you're up to the contest of building an electric boat from a kit then you may Regularly purchase a ready to run boat that will be ready to go the minute you take it out of the box so that you do not have to waste any time.

5 Tips For Farming Gold in World of Warcraft

By Joanne Keith

Although World of Warcraft provides its players with numerous ways to farm gold, the reality is that many people still prefers the shortcuts and spend money to buy gold in the real world. This is obviously not allowed by the game and you have to be careful in order not to be caught. Personally, I do not buy gold but I did invest lots of time learning and improving my gaming skills, and I am quite happy with my results so far. Even in my first year, I managed to trade epic flyers for five characters.

If you are new to the game, the best way you can start is by gathering items. Many things from the game, be it mining, skinning, fishing, cooking mats or cloth, can all earn you some handsome gold.

Here are some tips you can use in farming gold.

1. Spend about thirty minutes a day in gathering mats. That will accumulate to big amount in the long run. If you look at the Auction House, you will find that there is a good supply of Northrend mats, as more and more people are in that area now. So, you may like to get mats in Outland or even in Pre B.C. to avoid huge competition.

2. To make your effort more efficient, identify those items with low competition in the Auction House first, and only target those objects.

3. Do you know which items are easy to get and easy to sell? Just to give you an idea - the deviate fish in the Barrens can sell for about 15 gold per stack, and they are not that hard to fish. You should have no problem netting 2 stacks of them in just 30 minutes.

4. Frequent yourself in the auction house and get familiar with the average prices of the items that you intend to sell. If the price of a particular item drops in one day, don't panic. You should know that price fluctuation is only normal and it does not hurt to wait a few days until the price goes back to its average.

5. You may also visit sites like Thott or Wowhead to get an idea of how much an item usually sells in the Auction House. Doing this you can avoid underpricing your items. You may even be able to purchase an under-priced item and sell at a higher rate.

Some people may find that these tips for farming WOW gold will take too much time away from their game play. This is true. However, as said, gold farming is a skill that comes with experience and learning. So, don't expect to skip the basics when you start out. You are sure to know about the more advanced techniques as you move on.

Set It Off Movie Fans!

By Johnnie Longridge

Stick up a bank? Sure, why not. And the Set It Off movie cast was selected perfectly to imitate four girlfriends who, after being messed up by the system and have nothing to lose, decide to get into the bank robbing industry.

The Set It Off movie Cast includes a HOT Vivica Fox as Frankie, who was recently fired from her bank-teller job for a real BS reason and is pissed at society. She gets to kick some major bootie in this film.

Kimberly Elisa plays Tisean, a single mother that has lost her son to child welfare until she can come up with the money she needs to pay for child care while she cleans offices.

Queen Latifah plays Cleo, a raucous, pot-smoking lesbian, who is continuously up for messing around.

And super fiery Jada Pinkett plays Stony, who is in shock after the cops slay her brother in a occurrence of mistaken identity, and she only wants the funds to get out. 'I want to be somebody who doesn't have to do this crap,' she says.

So the girls obtain guns, learn to fire, put on wigs and sunglasses that make their bad old selves look like youthful Tina Turner clones, and set off into the bank-robbing business ' they experience success, which certainly leaves them wanting more.

Set It Off is funny, action packed, smart and witty. The group of four four act a wacky Godfather riff, and Cleo, swaggers and whoops ' she's a lofty, noisy, outrageous bundle of walking black female. In the beginning, the heist business is only a way to get elsewhere, but as their greed overtakes their better common sense and their chief pursuer ( John McGinley) closes in on their fantasy world, realty sets in and sends the show in a tragic direction.

If you're looking for a film to watch with your girlfriend or boyfriend, the Set It Off filmis perfect! Both men and women will like this film Men will love the action and women will understand and enjoy the bond these four girls maintain and what drives them. Women (and perhaps a few men) will furthermore enjoy the subplot romance involving Stony and a banker played by Blair Underwood.

You can nowadays get the Set It Off movie on Blu-ray, which makes it an amazing high-definition motion picture watching experience!

The Set It Off soundtrack rocks and is a ideal fit for the film, featuring artists such as Bone Thugs N Harmony, Seal, Busta Rhymes, of course Queen Latifah and even a cameo by Gladys Knight in the song Missing You. Even if you don't like the picture, the Set It Off soundtrack alone is worth it. It's a remarkable compilation of music.

How To Enhance Your Photos With Basic Photo Editing

By Lucas Godfrey

For some novice photographers it can be quite frustrating when they think they've taken the perfect picture and then when it comes time to developing them they see all the flaws. Mind you, some experienced photographers run into the same problem as well. That's what makes great editing software for photography so important.

A great program is Adobe's Photoshop, which is good for not only the novelist but the experienced photographer as well. So all is not lost when a photo doesn't turn out just the way you wanted it. Perhaps there are some flaws in it such as little spots that may have come from being on the lens of the camera for example. This is where retouching your photo is valuable.

Then there's those times that something gets into your photo that you didn't really want in their Maybe there are a few soda cans sitting on the ground that are really distracting from the focal point of your picture.

This is where you can use a couple of the tools that you may find in the software that you're using such as the clone stamp or healing brush. With your clone stamp, you are able to actually paint over the areas that you don't want in your picture just as if you were using a paintbrush. If you are using this tool though you want to use it in the areas of your picture where there isn't that big of a difference in your color or the texture of the photo.

If that is not the criteria then you need to resort to the healing brush, which often is the better choice anyhow. Use it pretty well the same way but it will keep the color and texture around the spots that you're removing easier. These really are a couple of neat tools to use when you want to retouch.

It's always important that you inspect your photos carefully no matter what purpose are being used for you and you can do this make your checking very easy by creating an adjustment layer, then go to curves make a high contrast in the areas of your photo which you are more than likely going to see spots. This would be your sky or any open surface areas. This will make the spots stand out as if you were using a magnifier.

Now just click on the layer that's in the background to make sure that you're working on the right photo and then work with your clone stamp in the software. Then once you are done just take out the adjustment layer and you should have a perfect picture.

Two other great tools for working with for retouching is well are the burn tool and the Dodge tool. Burning is to make bright areas darker and the Dodge for making areas brighter. You also might want to consider the sponge tool as well.

Then when you want to remove noise, you can simply use plug-in filters like those that you find at no noise ninja. Many pieces of software are available to help you work and get the perfect photos.

Know How to Paint Like a Professional

By Wendy Racklave

Painting is a truly fascinating experience. Some go as far as making it their career and passion in life. They cannot be blamed though, for who would not enjoy being in the company of colors and anything aesthetic? Learning how to paint, although seemingly like a complicated experience, is actually very easy. One does not need to enroll in an art class to develop the skill. Knowing what materials to have and the techniques to use, one is ready to start his journey as a painter.

When learning how to paint, the regular brush and paint will not suffice. Knowledge about the different types and sizes of brushes is important. Prices of brushes also range depending on the material used. Synthetic hair commands a lower price compared to real hair. The size of the brush determines the size of the stroke. Small brushes result to fine strokes while big brushes are used for broad strokes. Thus, having a collection of brushes with varying sizes is necessary.

For paints, you can choose from watercolor, acrylic and oil. Oil paint is very versatile but if you are just starting out, you can opt for watercolor and acrylic instead. They are easier to use and manipulate, and they come in affordable prices as well.

Canvas is by far the most preferred material among painters. For professional ones, they go for the stretched canvas. For beginners, a canvas panel will do. Watercolor paper is also an option if you want to use watercolor. Although paper, it is absorbent. Acrylic paper is best for medium like acrylic. However, canvas may also be used for the latter.

First things first: learn the basics of color. It is best to know which are the primary and secondary colors to maximize their use. Knowing which colors will result from certain combinations will aid you when doing colorful paintings. Mastering how to use white to lighten a shade or black to darken a shade is crucial in giving out dimension effects.

The choices on what to paint are endless. One may do portraits, abstract works, landscapes or whatever he prefers. The best thing to start with is to paint shapes and lines, which are essentially the basics. After mastering the basics, the more complicated styles are easier to accomplish.

One major attitude a painter must have is patience. Great masterpieces are products of long hours, even days or months, of work. What one must remember is to practice every day to further develop his skill.

Entertainment Centers and Media

By Weston Rice

When you enter a entertainment center area of a downtown consumer electronics outlet store, the plethora of options are overwhelming. Everything is shimmering under fluorescent lights, quite new and shining, every system clearly telling you to "buy me, buy me." Even before you reach that milestone of the process, there are several other things that you need to first understand in order to help you make the correct decision for you home theater and for your wallet.

The first thing you need to do is decide what area your home with house your new entertainment theater system. Keep in mind that if you are looking for a large flat screen television around 45 to 55 inches, the best distance for optimal viewing is around 11 to 12 feet. Don't put a 55 inch TV into a smaller room because you will be gravely disappointed and the screen will actually look too sharp and too crisp, believe it or not. However, if you decide you would like a smaller screen, say, 30-40 inches, then it would be ideal for a smaller living room or larger bedroom.

You will have to decide on which kind of TV you want. Plasma and LCD televisions provide the sharpest and clearest pictures. DLP and rear projection televisions can be somewhat less expensive, but a major negative point is the viewing angle. DLP and rear projections don't give a nice picture when viewing from an angle. Also, make sure your target room where the entertainment center is placed has the appropriate angle. This should help you in your decision on with home theater system to purchase.

One other significant aspect is the receiver. Some receivers for entertainment centers have outputs and inputs for a satellite dish and a cable TV hookups, as well as inputs for several kinds of other things, such as media players (VCR and DVD players) and even PC hookups.

Some entertainment centers even have built-in radios, though they are starting to become less common. One of the more modern receivers is the fact that they can play XM radio, though XM sometimes requires addition fees on a monthly basis. With so many choices before you, you will have to evaluate which is going to be the most important for you, as well as which entertainment center you will ultimately decide on. e.g. there very little sense equipping a receiver with XM if you do not have the funds to pay for a monthly subscription.

Waiver Wire Value Plays in Fantasy Baseball

By Matt Diamante Rex Savage

All too often in fantasy baseball, people go after the big names. While many big names can give great stats, there are smaller names who don't stand out in any one category, but give a nice balance of stats across the board. These stats are often as valuable (if not more) as the stats put up by bigger names. Let's look at some of these players.

Casey Blake (49.6%) - Ok, so Blake barely makes this list, but frankly, Blake is a useful fantasy contributor that many seem to overlook. Blake has put up 18+ HR's and a .270+ BA the past few seasons, and he's on pace to do so yet again, currently hitting .281 with 14 HR's, 68 RBI's, and 66 runs. With those numbers, he's on pace to hit .280 with 20 HR's and 90+ runs and RBI's. Not to mention, Blake is eligible at 1B and 3B. Because of the depth at 1B, he's not going to be a starter there. But Blake could definitely be a starter at 3B and is an extremely useful bench player. You can plug him in at a bunch of places and he can produce pretty solid numbers.

Kurt Suzuki: The Oakland catcher seems to fly under the radar each season. Granted, he won't give you the power that a Martinez or McCann gives you and he won't give you the speed that a Martin gives you, but Suzuki has put up some respectable numbers this season (.276 / 10 / 56), along with 5 stolen bases, which isn't bad for a catcher.

Denard Span. The young outfielder in Minnesota seems to improve with each season. In 2009, he's drawn comparisons to guys like Carl Crawford. While his power and SBs are both less than Crawford's, Span is the same mold of player and his stats can be acquired via most free agent pools, rather than a first round pick as in Crawford's case.

Michael Cuddyer. Here's a guy who seems to have a respectable season year in and year out, yet never gets mentioned. Maybe it's because he plays for that kind of team - the Twins. With a .270 average, just under 20 HRs and just under 60 RBIs, Cuddyer's numbers are pretty solid all around. Many big names are putting up the very same numbers.

Cody Ross (32.6%) - Like the store, "Ross", this OF will get you the numbers of a big-time OF, but for a whole lot less. Granted, he is a bit streaky, but his overall numbers are still much better than you'd expect. Despite his small stature, Ross has belted 20 HR's to go along with 66 RBI's, 63 runs, and a .271 BA. That means that for a full season, Ross would hit about .270 with 27 HR's and around 90 runs and RBI's. Again, you could pay a lot more for the big name, but why would you when you can just go to Ross to get similar numbers for a lot less.

Billy Butler (19.8%) - Last year, fantasy baseball analysts fell in love with Butler, but he didn't produce as he was expected. Now, he's actually producing, but people have forgotten about him. The one knock against Butler is his eligibility; he's only eligible at the deepest position in baseball (1B), or the utility slot. Then again, you could do a lot worse for a utility man. This year, Butler has hit .300 with 15 HR's, 65 RBI's, and 54 runs. In a full season, Butler would hit .300 with 20 HR's, 88 RBI's, and 75 runs. Plus, he's extra valuable in leagues that count XBH: he's already stroked 41 doubles in only 119 games, putting him on pace for 56 on the year.

If you're looking to dig deep in your league, I would suggest looking at any one of these players, depending upon your positional needs. All will give you the value that many big names offer, with a much lower cost for acquiring them. I hope this has been useful to you.

Beijing Private Tour: Buy Memeroable Gifts Such As Beautiful Chinese Jade

By Andy Lao

A precious gemstone highly admired for its unique color and considered to possess spiritual quality, jade has been used by Chinese to create ornamental items for over 10,000 years. The tradition of making jade items began as early as the Neolithic period, and continued through every stage of China's history into the present day. The profound influence of jade on Chinese culture can be seen in almost all aspects of the life of Chinese: custom, mannerism, literature, philosophy, art, and spiritual beliefs. As recent as 60 years ago, exquisitely-made jade ornaments were still one of the things used by the Chinese upper class to show their status and wealth. In Beijing, take a private tour with a Beijing tour operator to discover beautiful jade works in the city's amazing local shops.

Jade in all its varieties is endowed with an amazingly soft, warm appearance that gives a mystical quality to its incredible hardness. On the smooth, hard surface, the rich color looks to have a touch of purity and ephemeral beauty that seems to have been accidentally captured in eternity. Ever since its discovery inside raw stone, Chinese fell in love with this unique gem and gave it a high status among other gems. One of Chinese' ancient beliefs is jade not only represents the highest form of beauty, but symbolizes all that is desirable about a virtuous human being. "The wise have likened jade to virtue", so said Confucius, the most influential ancient Chinese philosopher.

Chinese discovered jade probably through the practice of making stone tools. Artifacts unearthed in two pre-historic Chinese cultures, Liangzu and Hongshan, included a large, amazing variety of jade items used both for utilitarian and ornamental purposes. The mining of jade had already lasted for thousands of years before one of the earliest historical records appeared about 3,000 years ago that took note of this practice. Ancient jade items discovered in burial sites indicate that early on the possession of jade was considered an exclusive privilege of the rich and the ruling class.

In later times, as Chinese society became more and more complex, and the skills of artisans to make decorative works were greatly improved, jade works became a popular form of art. According to historical account, during the Zhou dynasty one of the most popular practices among the upper class people was wearing different jade ornaments to show one's taste in art and knowledge of jade. In the Song dynasty, the fashion of jade advanced to a new level. Creative artisans from this period invented many different types of jade works to meet people's demand to appreciate the beauty of jade in new ways. Ming and Qing dynasties saw a peak of the development of jade art. New design repeatedly appeared during this time.

In Chinese, the character for jade, "yu", can be used to mean a variety of gemstones, a phenomenon probably resulting from the immense influence jade has on Chinese culture. As a matter of fact, there are only two types of gemstones that can be labeled as jade - nephrite and jadeite.

Nephrite - All jade works made in China before 1800s were believed to be nephrite. Called "soft jade" in Chinese, it measures 5.5 - 6.0 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, somewhat softer than jadeite which measures 6.5 - 7.0. Nephrites with different colors are put into different classes, the highest class being "mutton fat", which shows a cream, white color. Other main colors include white, gray, green, dark green, yellow, and black. The Khotan region in Xinjiang province produced the most famous nephrite. But due to overexploitation, the reserve there was depleted.

Jadeite - Jadeite is a rarer and more precious type of jade than nephrite. After introduced from Burma to China in the 19th century, it immediately captured the attention of the ruling class with its exquisite beauty and wide range of colors and became their favorite. It shows over 20 different colors, emerald green being the most admired.

In many fantastic local shops in Beijing, you can find gorgeous traditional jade ornaments that are made by some of the best artisans in China. With so many fake jade products out there, it's best to find a Beijing guide to assist you in your shopping.

How To Get Ahead In The Field Of Wedding Photography

By Evaness Clark

You will find that there is much competition in the wedding photography industry. It is the intention of this article to provide relative novices to the photography business with advice on how to succeed.

(1) Get in place an effective, efficient ordering system online, if your plan is to do destination weddings. It is obvious that your studio will not receive visits from people that are from out of town. Consider doing orders over the Internet. Think about using an additional vendor to handle the sales and orders.

2) Develop working relationships with different wedding vendors to increase the referrals to your photography business. This can include hotels, honeymoon resorts, bridal services, and caterers, to name just a few. Offer to take portraits at no charge, as well as complimentary prints and consultations with your vendors. For instance, with a resort, you should offer to take suite or portrait photos at no charge. Make sure you are on the head of their preferred vendor referral list. Watch for new businesses or organizations that are starting up in your area and contact them to inquire about putting you on their lineup of preferred vendors.

(3) Provide High Quality (this should be obvious). The meaning of this is the production of images that are exposed properly and are edited with correct colors. Devote time to create lovely books.

(4) Be open to helping with anything that will make a wedding proceed smoothly. Of course you are there to photograph the wedding, but you should also be open to doing an errand for the bride if the need arises. Offer to do more than just take photographs. Accepting additional responsibilities will result in an excellent reputation and many referrals.

5) Make the effort to form connections with clientele. There are a huge number of good photographers out there. If you make real and personal connections, you provide an added element of service and sense of ease.

A photographer can heighten his performance in the industry of wedding photography, which is very competitive, by using the tips above.

Download Movies On PS3

By Dana Goldberg

In the past few years, downloading PS3 movies have grown in popularity than even before, having broadened beyond movies and music to include games from almost any game platform you can imagine from the Commodore 64 to the PS3.

Ipoque, a German management solution for bandwith, issued a February 2009 study finding that 27-55% of online traffic in 2008, dependent upon the user's location, is composed of those who download and upload torrents, uploaded online files available for download mainly free downloads, by using p2p networks. As you are aware, downloads of Ps3 items are extremely popular!

With this increase in the amount of downloads occurring, the amount of problems encountered such as viruses, malicious code, horrible download speeds, and other issues experienced conversely rise. So be careful when downloading PS3 movies! A popular issue that many encounter are long download times that are often attributed to user ran sites where not everyone participates in sharing the file with others after they have downloaded it, leading to swarms of downloaders.

A lot of users feel safe and anonymous while downloading PS3 movies. However, they do not understand the fact that whenever they download a file using a peer to peer network, which is most popular way to download files, they place their exact IP address viewable to all persons who upload or download that file. This particular huge risk is overlooked by most of the people, and they feel as if they have total anonymity while on the internet. There are some sites and individuals who know ways to exploit file sharers and will readily take advantage of their knowledge.

If more than 600 people are trying at the same time to download the same Ps3 movie just from four people, it might even take many days just to get one game or Ps3 movie. It is very difficult to find older PS3 games of PS3 moves compared to the current ones. This is because of the same reasons that download times can be so lengthy that users do not want to share files if they feel there will be none who is interested or download them.

This would definitely be enough information to prove that downloading PS3 movies should be done with great precaution. Using a reliable site to download the PS3 movies would be the best choice.
