A Guide to the Club Penguin Band

The Club Penguin Band is a famous band in the Club Penguin game. There are four penguins that play in the band and they sometimes show up on stage in the game. They will show up to play at special parties, such as the St. Patrick's Day Party or Valentine's Day Party. They also played at the Music Jam festival in 2008 and are scheduled to play again at the 2009 Music Jam. If you are lucky enough to meet them backstage during their breaks at Music Jam, you can click on them to get a special player card background featuring the band and their autographs.

The four members of the band are named G. Billy (Dark Blue), Petey K (Green), Stompin' Bob (Red), and Franky (Yellow). and they always appear together as a group. They have appeared several times in the game, starting at the Winter Luau in 2006.

They appeared in the Club Penguin game as part of the Wild West party in 2006. In that party, they lost their instruments and players went on a scavenger hunt to find them. Everyone who completed the scavenger hunt received the original Club Penguin Band player background. The band appeared again at the Music Jam 2008, playing on stage at the Iceberg. During breaks, they would appear on different servers in the Backstage area, where members had the chance to meet them and obtain the special autographed player card background.

The band will appear again at Music Jam 2009 and they will be backstage in the members-only area during breaks. The band will move between servers, just like Rockhopper does during his visits to the Club Penguin island. You will need a little luck and a lot of patience to spot the band backstage, and here are a few tips to make your search easier. First, they will only appear on break backstage, so you need to be a paid member to meet them. If you're not a paid member, you will not get to see them backstage and get the special player background card. Second, the band will move often and will only stay on each server a short time, so the best strategy is to pick a server and wait backstage for them to come to you. When they do appear on a server, the room can get full very quickly. If you don't have the time or patience to wait for them to come to you, you can use a Band Tracker to find out which server they're on at that moment. You may need to try a few times because they appear on popular servers, which get crowded fast.

Meeting the Club Penguin Band can be a really fun experience and getting a copy of the autographed player background card is a special treat. The Club Penguin Band only makes a few appearances each year, so being prepared and knowing how to find them can really help. Good luck with your search!

Anti-Gay Group Hounds Adam Lambert Concert

This past week in San Jose, California, at an American Idol concert, "Hate" was the vibe outside. A group of protesters from a Topeka, Kansas, church, named Westboro Baptist, were directing their hateful chants towards homosexuality. Their website, God Hates Fags.com explains their view points and beliefs......

Since 1955, Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has taken forth the precious from the vile, and is therefore as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets, conducting 41,002 peaceful demonstrations (to date) opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. In response, America bombed WBC & WBC on 8-2-2008. God is America's enemy: 5,058 dead soldiers; crashing economy. America crossed the line on June 26, 2003, when the Supreme Court (the conscience of the nation) ruled in Lawrence v. Texas that we must respect sodomy. Michael Sarver was also present at the American Idol concert. Lambert And Sarver's friendship was a direct effect of American Idol, and according to StarPulse.com, Sarver wrote on his Twitter.com page, "Funny how people think it's a good idea to mess with a big Texan and his AI (American Idol) family. Adam is just fine, shakes it off and so should we. We are together in this thing. You mess with one you mess with all ten. We are strong and we are 1. For those outside protesting I say do not judge less ye be judged yourself. Guys don't mind these people, we are a strong family."

I must say how disappointed I am in the Westboro Baptist Church. The contents of their web site is so "Hate Oriented". I thought the purpose of a "Christian Church" was to proclaim Jesus, love God, and love their fellow man. Well this is not what they are doing. They are going all over the place and preaching Hate. I don't know about their "god", but my God does not hate and would never tell his "children" to go out and preach for the devil.

Now I'm sure there are many more of these radical organizations out there using God as the reason for their actions. The world is full uneducated, ignorant bigots, who will always use hate to hurt others because of their personal beliefs and/or lifestyle choices. These people are out there crusading on a religious campaign and breeding hate in our society. This ideal, that hate can consume a person or a group, has been seen in history on more then a few occasions.

The point I want to make is that we do live in America, and we do have a right to express our opinion. Even when our views and religious beliefs don't agree with everyone elses. We are all entitled to freedom, so while we might not agree with churches like this, they will still exist. It is our job to inform others that hate is not the way to win. It is not the way to get your views across. It is not the way we should raise our children. Stand up, let your views be known, and tell people like this that hate is not right, that hate is not acceptable. Stand up and proclaim that you will refuse to hate and refuse to let hate dwell in your life. This is America, and we have the right to be free. Free from hate

Shallow Water Fishing Boats

Ever been to the Florida Bay? If you want the best of shallow water fishing, you can't afford to miss this natural fisherman's paradise. Most of Florida Bay is considered part of the Everglades National Park. As such, it combines fresh water from the Everglades with the salty brine from the Gulf of Mexico, working together to provide some of the best fishing around!

This estuary winds its winning way through hundreds of small islands. The shallow water fish you are likely to come across includes snook, redfish, snapper and tarpon. Not to mention the abundant variety of wildlife, such as alligators, turtles and birds. But what about the boats necessary for such pleasure trips?

"Flats fishing," as it is also called, requires special shallow water boat called a skiff. These boats are specially designed to be wide and stable, affording sportsmen the opportunity to fish in water as shallow as three feet. When you can actually SEE the fish you're after, it really adds to the experience.

Even the shallow water anchors are unique; you will see hydraulic 'power' poles which can hold the boat steady in up to 8 feet of water, or simple manual poles which can also be used as a push pole, to maneuver skillfully around the banks, and in the shallower waters.

With a boat and a guide, you can explore Florida Bay, and go after such prizes as the afore-mentioned tarpon, trout, snapper and redfish. These fish can be bigger than expected. For example, tarpon can get up to 40 or 50 pounds.

The skiff will have a platform that enables the guide to scan the horizon, thus ensuring the visibility needed to navigate for optimum shallow water fishing. The boat's motor may not even be used, as loud sounds can frighten away shallow water fish. All the better, then, that the guide is able to use the pole to steer among the banks, and move silently.

While the shallow water boat treks smoothly along the back country, this will be the fisherman's chance to take in Florida scenery at its most pristine. He can view all manner of plant life, from orchids and primordial fern to the draping Spanish moss so typical of Florida forests. He can catch a glimpse of turtle or deer, in addition to the shallow water fish just inches away.

The appeal of shallow water fishing is best found in places like Florida Bay. With mangroves aplenty, there is always something primal and unspoiled to enjoy, whether it be the challenge of landing a largemouth bass, or spotting a wading ibis just a few feet away.
