Saw Two: Sadistic continuation finds fiendish mastermind "Jigsaw" keeping a group of 'outsiders' prisoner in a spooky, booby trapped home. Lots of gore for the fans, as the sufferers race time as a fatal gas fills their lungs. Wahlberg is the lead cop on the case. Can he match brains with this twisted madman? Cast includes Darren Lynn Bousman, Donnie Wahlberg, Shawnee Smith, Tobin Bell, Frank G. Glenn Plummer, Dina Meyer, Emmanuel Vaugier, Beverley Mitchel, Erik Knudsen, and Tim Burd. (102 minutes, 2006)

The Replacements: Stupid, run of the mill comedy about a lot of has-beens, eccentrics, and losers who are enlisted by coach Hackman as substitute players in the wake of a pro-football strike. If you seriously desire to see Hackman play a coach, watch the basketball drama Hoosiers. Cast includes Keanu Reeves, Gene Hackman, Brooke Langton, Orlando Jones, Jon Favreau, Jack Warden, Faizon Love, and Brett Cullen. (118 minutes, 2000)

Black Mask: Biologically machinated warrior Li gives up a peaceful life to battle his comparably improved former colleagues, who are trying to take over the Hong Kong rackets. Clever, fashionable, lightning paced thriller is a superlative showcase for the illuminating abilities of Li who, in his camouflage, looks like the Green Hornet's Kato. Cast includes Hong Kong rendition. Cast includes Plane Li, Karen Mok, Francoise Yip, Lau Ching Wan, Patrick Lung Kang, and Anthony Wong. (96 minutes,'97)

Stage Fright: Theater student Wyman turns covert sleuth because an actress' spouse is killed. There are some stimulating scenes however the Mr. Hitchcock misses on this one. Hannibal: It has been ten years since Hannibal had escaped. Mason Verger, Hannibal's sixth victim, a survivor, has obsessive revenge on his mind. His plot includes using agent Starling for bait. He feels Hannibal will not be able to resist.

Million Dollar Baby: Maggie Fitzgerald is a middle-aged woman with a dream. She is determined to become a championship boxer, and she just won't quite. She needs Frankie, a local boxing trainer to help. He is reluctant at first, but Maggie's unstoppable spirit sweeps him in.

Iron Will: Kid enters a Winnipeg-to-St. Paul dog-sled race in the WW1 era. The outcome is so predictable that you nearly anticipate everything that will happen from to start to finish. Cast includes Mackenzie Astin, Kevin Spacey, August Schellenberg, David Ogden Stiers, Brian Cox, George Gerdes, and John Terry. (109 minutes,'94)

Reckless: Disobedient adolescent from bad side of tracks takes up with a college girl, who finds in him a sense of jeopardy and enthusiasm missing from her peaceful yet boring life. Nothing here we haven't seen in'50s films in regards to discontented youth, with the exception of some extremely modern day sex scenes. Not for the faint-hearted. Cast includes Aidan Quinn, Daryl Hannah, Kenneth McMillan, Lois Smith, Adam Baldwin, Dan Hedaya, and Jennifer Grey. (90 minutes,'84)

The Stepford Wives: An up to date remake of the'75 film of the same name. The town of Stepford, on first look, seems like the perfect place. Everything in Stepford seems perfect. Newcomers to Stepford Joanne and Bobbie are starting to wonder what is going on. Will they figure it out before it is too late?
