Leisure Books/36 Boutiques a division of MIH Internet Africa is looking for candidates for their Digital Specialist and SEM Manager vacancy who have a passion for marketing and the Internet, and who wants to be part of a great marketing team.
Main purpose of the Job
The Digital Specialist and SEM Manager will be responsible for the company's Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising and Social Media strategies. He or she will also be optimizing the company's web sites and pages to make them more search-engine-friendly, thus getting elevated positions in search results and improve the volume or quality of traffic from search engines' search results. In addition to managing all of the above specialized tasks, this individual will edit the content related to the company web site and coding to increase its relevance to defined keywords and remove barriers to the process of indexing activities of search engines. This portfolio will work closely with the company's Web Editor, Developer, Online Community Manager(s), Designer(s) and Communication Specialists.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Using web tools to track site traffic, rankings, and ultimately sales and recruitment.
• Identifying and implementing strategies for increasing site traffic through organic search listings without being blacklisted
• Researching and resolving HTML code and content, link architecture and navigation issues
• Assisting in layout of web pages when required
• Continually monitoring organic search rankings to increase traffic, sales and recruitment
• Analyzing website strategies and translating qualitative or anecdotal data into recommendations and tactics for revising the strategies
• Creating and reviewing regular sales reports for various online actions and promotions
• Researching keywords using Google, including it's optimizer and keyword tools as well as internal tools available
• Using various Social Medias for advertising to enhance the online marketing strategy of the company
