Skipper Chris Brunt is looking for West Brom to use their home advantage to the full when Bolton visit the Hawthorns on Saturday.
The Northern Ireland international midfielder recognises that it is an important clash as the Trotters are still in the relegation places, while Roy Hodgson's Baggies have slipped down the table having lost 3-0 at Arsenal before the international break.
Owen Coyle's side will go into the match on the back of a 5-0 mauling of Stoke at the Reebok Stadium to record only their second win of the campaign. But Brunt feels home advantage should play a big part as they look for only their second win in front of their own fans this season.
"Bolton is a big game," he told the club's website.
"For all that's been said about the Arsenal game, results against clubs like that aren't going to shape our season.
"We know we need something from the Bolton game if we're to make progress this season.
"They had a great result before the international break but that won't make any difference to our game nor, I would hope, will the Arsenal game on us.
"Both teams will start with a clean slate and it's important we make the most of being at home."
He added: "Both sides will feel they can win the game and we appreciate that there will be added pressure on us because of our last two games and because we're at The Hawthorns."
