Family make appeal for sightings of missing GP

The family of a missing GP, reportedly last seen in Leicester, want to hear of any more sightings.
Dr David Lidgey, 52, disappeared from his family home in the Norfolk village of Hilgay six months ago.
His wife Shona, 45, sent posters appealing for information about David to newsagents in Leicester, where he studied to be a doctor.
As a result, two people contacted her to say they thought they had seen him.
One woman said a man who looked like David turned up at her home in Welford Road in July, five weeks after he disappeared, asking for someone called Joan or a Mr Bassett.
A man also got in touch with her to say he had seen David on three separate occasions in the Narborough Road area.
The family have even been to a Leicester Tigers match – Mr Lidgey was a big Tigers fan – in the vain hope of spotting him. There was also a reported sighting of him at a Leicester City football match.
Since then Shona, who is also a GP, and her children Ruth, 15, Arthur, 14, and Tom, nine, have not received any further reports of sightings either in Leicester, or elsewhere in the country.
The missing GP had struggled with depression but found it hard to seek help because he was a doctor, according to his wife.
After taking his children to school on Wednesday, June 29, he left a note saying he was going for a walk. When he had not returned home by the following morning, Shona reported him missing.
She said David had left his wallet and had not taken any money or his mobile phone with him.
She said: "Since he was seen in Leicester in the first five weeks after he went missing, we've not had any reported sightings of him at all.
"David was spotted three times in the Narborough Road area, which he loved. The police interviewed the people who got in touch and were quite positive about the sightings.
"We hoped he might come back at Christmas when there were a lot of family birthdays but there was just nothing.
"Christmas was very painful but we just tried to carry on as normally as we could. We can't ever stop waiting for him to come home.
"We're in a state of limbo. We're suffering a kind of bereavement at the same time as we're desperately hoping to see him again.
"If he has decided he doesn't want to come back, we would at least like to know where he is and what his plans are.
"The children have to carry on, they've got everything ahead of them.
"Their lives are difficult but they're very able and we are getting a lot of help and support which has helped a lot. We're just coping with each day.
"The sadness goes on and on. I'm sure it will eventually end – the moment you get used to living without someone but I don't want that to happen because that would be like giving up on him. I can't do that."
