Flower Tattoos - What To Think About Before Being Inked

By James Leonard

If flower tattoos are in your future, take a moment to consider where you will place it and how large it should be before you actually sit down in the chair. Flowers are a very popular choice for women, but they can take on a variety of different personalities if not carefully styled and placed.

If you go with small white daisies around your ankle you will have a happy, youthful tattoo. On the other hand, a scarlet red rose on the shoulder blade can be more sexually suggestive. Your choice in color, breed, and placement will say a lot.

Of course, everyone will have moments when they want to let it all hang out and flaunt their assets, but you have to consider your daily life when it comes to tattoo placement. Are there moments when you would rather keep it a private feature of your body, or do you want it to always be revealed?

Some of the obvious placements would be on your shoulder, the lower back, or perhaps the side of the leg. Yet, you could get more discreet and make it something seen only when you decide it is necessary. You may put it on your inner thigh, high on the hip, or at the top of your bust line. This way, you can choose when to let it hang out and when to keep it hidden.

The size of the tattoo is also a matter of personal preference. If you go large it will stand out more and be more noticeable. Something smaller will have a daintier, feminine appearance. It is the same thing with color selection, as bold colors will stand out more.

There are no flower tattoos that will fit everyone. You have to take all of these things into consideration if you want to be happy with this decision months and years down the line. It all comes down to your personality, reasons for getting the tattoo, and what you want it to say about you as a person.
