Movies To See On The Web

In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. Below, is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.

The Little Vampire: A 9-year-old California schoolboy moves to Scotland and makes buddies with a 9-year-old vampire who sucks him into his planet and shows him the time of his life. Lipnicki is cute as unconditionally, although Weeks robs the show as his vampire buddy. Cast includes Jonathan Lipnicki, Richard E. Permit, Alice Krige, Anna Popplewell, Jim Carter, John Wood, Pamela Gidley, and Rollo Weeks. (96 minutes, 2000)

Marius: Entertaining, flavorful if a tad too theatrical satire of provincial life, focusing on the love of Marius Fresnay for Fanny Demazis. Raimu is amazing as Cesar, restaurant owner and dad of Marius. All 3 were the structure of the play and film FANNY 1961 Cast includes Raimu, Pierre Fresnay, Charpin, Alida Rouffe, and Drane Demazis. (125 minutes, 1931)

The Big Store: Large bummer for Marxes in a weak film of investigator Groucho examining crooked Dumbrille's variety store. The low spot is Martin's "The Tenement Symphony." Cast includes Charles Riesner, Groucho, Chico and Harpo Marx, Tony Martin, Virginia Grey, and Henry Armetta. (80 minutes, 1941)

March Of The Penguins: Each winter, a remarkable journey takes place. The Emperor penguins come out of the ocean, and march single file through the frozen landscape of Antarctica to their annual breeding. This spectacular documentary follows the penguins on their entire journey to the breeding grounds, through the breeding season, and back to the frozen ocean.

Cry Uncle: Secluded investigator gets engaged with kill, sex and blackmail in spoof of controversial taste; regularly humorous, nonetheless. Cast includes Allen Garfield, Madeleine De La Roux, Devin Goldenberg, David Kirk, Sean Walsh, and Nancy Salmon. (87 minutes, 1971)

Just for You: Tangy lyrical of creator Crosby who might be bothered with his growing kids, until Wyman shows him the way. Delightful Harry Warren-Leo Robin score, highlighted by "Zing a Little Zlng." Cast includes Bing Crosby, Jane Wyman, Ethel Barrymore, Bob Arthur, Natalie Wood, and Cora Witherspoon, Regis Toomey. (104 minutes, 1952)

The Hurricane: The true story of Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter, a middleweight title contender, who had his dreams of a boxing title abruptly ended when he was falsely arrested and convicted of a triple homicide. He eventually gives up all hope when imprisoned until a young Blackman, and his adopted Canadian parents take up his lost cause. They are up against staunch racism at every turn, but eventually Hurricane is set free.

Austin Powers: International Mystery: 1960's secret agent is being brought out of cryogenics now to battle his nemesis, Dr. Evil. Dr. Evil, was also brought into the 90's through cryogenics, and with a stolen nuclear weapon is threatening the world. The battle is on, as Austin must save the world from Dr. Evil.

A Fool and His Money: Plimpton "The lord" informs ex-musician/ex-advert gentleman Penner to start his own business, so he founds the "Preferent Temple," a religion whose prime tenet is selfishness. Humiliating try at satire characteristics Bullock on the video box, although she only has in regards to 8 seconds on monitor as a communal protector who might trust her boyfriend has turned into such a jackass. Cast includes Jonathan Penner, Sandra Bullock, George Plimpton, Jerzy Kosinski, and Tama Janowitz. (84 minutes, 1988)
