iPhone is secretly tracking users

Two security researchers in Britain have discovered a disturbing truth. Accordingly, Apple is secretly monitored geographical position of those who use the iPhone and iPad 2 4 since IOS release 4, with surprising accuracy.
Two security experts Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden has discovered a secret backup location and time are stored on Macs or PCs have been synchronized with the iPhone.
File "consolidated.db" record phone location data and timelines of each position. Users can also find this file on your PC or Mac personal computer was synchronized with the iPhone. Even they can restore or copy this file to a new device that retains the right to log on.
Clear how to create and access the database only for the iPhone, although sometimes the network can access location information. However, it seems the data itself is not passed on to Apple so its use for such information at this time has not been clearly defined.

Position your phone does not seem to be the only data that were collected IOS 4.0. Develop a list of wireless networks that connect iPhone or iPad has also been detected.
Researchers often point out that this kind of data would have allowed the court to be transferred from the mobile phone companies, but Apple back to it on the user's computer as plain text . Therefore, the researchers recommended that users until Apple has an answer to this problem, encrypt backups iPad iPhone or by selecting "Encrypt Backup iPhone" in the Options section of iTunes
