Money worries solved at first time buyer event this weekend

First time buyers in Northampton concerned about being able to afford to get that vital first step on to the property ladder could find all their money worries solved this weekend at a special event at a new homes development in Duston.
At its Tavener Fields development in Duston, David Wilson South Midlands is offering potential homeowners three special deals that could help to make home ownership much more affordable.
Firstly, it is giving first time buyers the chance to take advantage of the new Government-backed shared equity scheme FirstBuy. With this deal, eligible purchasers can initially buy a new home with just a four per cent deposit and with a mortgage of just 76 per cent of the asking price. The remaining 20 per cent is funded by a joint loan from David Wilson and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
With FirstBuy, customers who earn a joint or single annual salary of £24,000 could initially move in to a stylish Emerald style one bedroom apartment, normally priced at £114,995, with a deposit of just £4,600 and a mortgage for just £87,396.
Secondly, in a bid to make home ownership even more affordable, David Wilson is offering the Emerald style apartments with an exclusive furniture pack which will allow first time buyers to move straight in to a new home without having to worry to about funding the purchase of new furniture to furnish it.
As a final incentive to attend the event, visitors to the development this weekend can enter a free prize draw to win £500 vouchers to put towards a holiday.
Jackie Day, Sales Director at David Wilson, comments “We appreciate that first time buyers may have concerns about not only being able to afford to get on the property ladder during the current climate but in fact, buying a first home could be much more affordable than you’d imagine.
“The Government introduced FirstBuy to help potential homeowners purchase a new home at the lowest possible cost and with the lowest possible deposit and it is already helping thousands of first time buyers realise their dream of home ownership.
“We’ve been lucky enough to receive an allocation of the FirstBuy funding at Tavener Fields but our budget is limited so I’d encourage anyone who does want to make the move, to visit us this weekend to find out more.”
The first time buyers event is being held between 11am and 6pm, this Saturday and Sunday, the 24th and 25th September, at the Tavener Fields sales office.
Tavener Fields is located on Timken Way North and currently offers a range of one to four bedroom homes priced from £114,995 to £269,995.
Residents here will benefit from the good range of local amenities on offer that includes schools, independent shops and a supermarket whilst Northampton town entre is close at hand too.
The development is also ideally placed for commuters as its just minutes from junction 15a of the M1 and Northampton train station also offers regular services to London Euston.
